TierONE Capital Launches Property Services Team

TierONE Capital’s primary focus has always been about delivering the best risk adjusted returns to our investors, whilst supporting our borrowers throughout the term of their loan to ensure they deliver on their obligations. With that in mind, we’re delighted to announce the launch of our TierONE Capital Property Services Team.

With construction industry volatility at a ten-year high, it’s important to proactively address the many market, environmental and political risk factors that directly impact the property industry. Rather than wait for an issue to arise, we believe it’s more prudent to regularly monitor a construction loan and, to date, this has been completed by our Loan Origination Team.

Notwithstanding previous successes, we believe market conditions have changed such that it is time to add more specialised skills to oversee our construction loans, both at the approval stage and, during the construction phase. Adding a highly experienced team of property and construction professionals to our existing business will enable us to focus on, assess, and respond to risks, as they emerge.

Executive Manager of Investment Services, Ingrid Gyles states “It has always been important to us to maintain a good sense of where a project is at and, in the past, we’ve done so by regularly visiting the sites and relying on reports from external parties such as valuers and quantity surveyors. These parties are still an integral part of the process and will continue to provide us with valuable information, however our new dedicated Property Services Team will oversee construction loan operations from end to end, helping to ensure any construction anomalies, management issues or liquidity concerns are identified and addressed earlier rather than later.”
